The export of scrap metal from the UK is an essential trade, as there is insufficient domestic manufacturing demand to absorb the vast amount of material generated by today’s society. Norton’s export achievement is largely as a result of securing its UK supply sources, finding new markets, and exporting significantly increased tonnages to them.
