Planning to meet future EU Directives

The British government has begun the task of introducing its measures to comply with EU directive 2000/53 on the treatment of end of life vehicles. This means that vehicles, (cars, light vans & MPVs), which have reached the end of their useful life will need to go through various stages of de-pollution and component recovery prior to shredding.

Through our links with UK Shredders Ltd, S.Norton will be at the forefront of providing these compliance services. Technology is already being introduced on to our sites to meet the requirements of the directive.

We will be providing a first class service to car manufacturers, last owners of End of Life Vehicles and to motor vehicle dismantlers or other scrap merchants involved in this aspect of recycling.
